As the project authors say, Skanska focuses on building sustainable work environment and this precisely was our task. The space was to emanate “the Skanska character”- scandinavian openness and focus on individuals.
536 plants on 100 sqm
Our idea was to create, again, a biosphere, which allows us to feel like in nature. Everybody likes to sit on a park bench from time to time. This effect and feeling of space was our goal. A co-author of this task was our regular partner- Florabo, who arguably has ‘greener blood’ in their veins than anybody else. While brainstorming together with Halina Kamińska from Florabo we decided that greenery should ‘pour out’ from the space into the corridor through hanging modules. In nature greenery goes through in search of water and light. In Skanska greenery enters the space of communication to unite and relax people. This was the desired effect and we made it work!- say Workplace representants.
The whole project has been complemented by neon Skanska, which emerges from the green wall. It energizes the character of the whole space and the company itself. Workplace took also extra care of the acoustics within the space by covering one of the walls with soundproof material, which can also be used to prop oneself up. The space has been furnished with comfortable, mobile sofas and pillows. The project has been strongly supported by the work of Magdalena Mirosz and Magdalena Gumieniak from Skanska.
